The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday ordered Adiala Jail authorities to end any sort of solitary confinement of former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi and directed that the couple be allowed to meet. Four more Peshawar neighbourhoods sealed after coronavirus cases rise | SAMAA
A smart lockdown was imposed in four more neighbourhoods in Peshawar on Sunday after coronavirus cases in the city rose. After orders by the city’s deputy commissioner, Phase 1 of Hayatabad’s Sector D, three streets in Haji Camp’s Sethi Town, Ghalib Street, River Kabul Road, Charsadda Road, and Rashidabad were sealed. A smart lockdown has been imposed in five neighbourhoods of Peshawar after the number of coronavirus cases in the city rose. According to a notification issued by the deputy commissioner, the lockdown will be imposed from 6pm today. Bear cub on the loose after escaping Peshawar Zoo | Samaa Digital
A bear cub is on the loose after it escaped its cage at the Peshawar Zoo. The two-month old cub was in a cage with its mother when one of the caretakers left the door open on September 19. The cub escaped but its mother stayed in the cage. They had arrived at the zoo from Dir two days earlier. The administration is currently examining CCTV footage and believes the cub may still be at the zoo. The cub hasn’t been seen in footage of the zoo’s exit points.
Leishmaniasis: A skin disease with no vaccine is on the rise in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
A skin disease caused by a sand fly is on the rise in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Leishmaniasis, the scientific name of the disease, is caused by parasites of the Leishmania type and spread by the bite of certain types of sand flies. At least 21,000 people have reportedly fallen prey to the disease in the province in just a span of a year. Doctors Without Borders calls leishmaniasis one of the most dangerous and neglected tropical diseases, according to the HealthLine website.

KP schools closed for two days due to strike
PESHAWAR: Private schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will remain closed for two days due to a strike against the provincial private schools regulatory authority. All schools will remain closed on the 23rd and 24th of April due to a strike against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Private Schools Regulatory Authority. The authority had passed regulations which forbid private schools to collect fees of the months in which summer vacations fall.
