What does it mean to be a journalist?

Why did you become a journalist?

2007

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I've always loved writing, but I didn't find my love for journalism until college.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

*Always* interview in person when you can. And when you do, be aware of what's going on in your surroundings.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Always.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

A PR firm sent me an email about how a company's new high heel line would be great for a golf magazine.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Teeing it up on a golf course.
