Paternity Leave Helps Children By Promoting Coparenting
C. Philip Hwang is a professor of Psychology at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. His research focuses on child development, fatherhood, and the linkages between gender, family, and work in post-industrialized societies. He currently oversees the Gothenburg Longitudinal Developmental Study (GoLD), a 30-year prospective longitudinal study of Swedish families. Nationalized paternity leave policies in Sweden and other Nordic countries help men to advocate for their own leave at work.
Emergent coherent modes in nonlinear magnonic waveguides detected at ultrahigh frequency resolution - Nature Communications
Abstract Nonlinearity of dynamic systems plays a key role in neuromorphic computing, which is expected to reduce the ever-increasing power consumption of machine learning and artificial intelligence applications. For spin waves (magnons), nonlinearity combined with phase coherence is the basis of phenomena like Bose–Einstein condensation, frequency combs, and pattern recognition in neuromorphic computing.

01.05.23 -- Where Do We Stand On Adopting Continuous Manufacturing For Biologics?
By Jody Staggs, interim CEO and president, SWK Holdings Rising interest rates, imploding cryptocurrencies, and erratic equities markets have upended assumptions about risk and returns during 2022. The “risk-free” rate has surged to more than 4% as of late November. Your pharma, biotech, or medical device company looking to raise cash needs to take the key considerations shared in this article into account.
12.19.22 -- Where Do We Stand On Adopting Continuous Manufacturing For Biologics?
By R. Chen, C. Hwang, K. Lee, A. Zydney, and J.F. Kokai-Kun Continuous manufacturing offers productivity and cost-saving benefits, among other things, but technical and regulatory challenges have slowed uptake. Speeding up adoption will require innovation and knowledge sharing within the industry and regulatory support from the FDA.
Oncolytic reovirus therapy: Pilot study in dogs with spontaneously occurring tumours
Oncolytic virotherapy is a novel treatment involving replication‐competent virus in the elimination of cancer. We have previously reported the oncolytic effects of reovirus in various canine cancer cell lines. This study aims to establish the safety profile of reovirus in dogs with spontaneously occurring tumours and to determine a recommended dosing regimen.

Direct Detection of Pure ac Spin Current by X-Ray Pump-Probe Measurements
(a) Py and Co magnetic moment precession at different magnetic fields (dots are experimental data and lines are sinusoidal fits). The amplitude is normalized for clarity. (b) Ni and Co ac XMCD as a function of applied field. At the Py FMR field of , the Co amplitude also shows a peak due to spin pumping. (c) Phase of the ac XMCD signals. The Py precession shows the -phase change typical of FMR across the resonance field. The phase of the is identical to that of Py as indicated by Eq. (1).
