Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman is going all in on AI, and playing fast-and-loose with new rules around the disclosure of AI in political communications that was signed into law by his opponent. A video from earlier this week shows a very-realistic-looking AI-generated Hochul being offered crack by a gentleman she refers to as a “nice young man.” Another shows an “illegal immigrant” grinning after Hochul gifted her an “amazing hotel room” for free.

Democratic Maine Senate nominee Graham Platner's team quietly fielded a poll Tuesday gauging the strength of people who could replace him on the ballot, as pressure mounts for him to drop out of the race. The flash poll, obtained by POLITICO, was conducted by Public Policy Polling and commissioned by Platner's campaign, according to a person with knowledge of the survey who was granted anonymity to discuss it. It tested head-to-head matchups between Republican Sen.
