Caitlin Looby’s Biography
Caitlin Looby is a scientist-turned-journalist who has covered the Great Lakes for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel since 2022. Caitlin reports on the environment, climate change, Indigenous knowledge and Great Lakes history. Caitlin's work has been recognized by the National Headliner Awards, Milwaukee Press Club and Society for Features Journalism. She's also been awarded fellowships by the Poynter Institute and McGraw Center for Business Journalism.
In 2023, she gave a TEDx talk on public trust in science, and continues to give talks to scientists, agencies and students on science communication.
