CMU’s Financial Aid Office and Board of Trustees reworked the Distinguished Scholarship. Changes will take effect in the fall 2027 semester. Currently, the award provides financial aid for a recipient’s entire tuition and the Financial Aid Office only offers this award to in-state residents. Students previously received the award following an institutional selection process.

So being the thrillseeker that I am, I decided to play a prank on my future self and sign up for seven classes totaling seventeen credit hours, a great amount of credits but a challenge that may prove to be too much for this hotshot.

I hate Data Centers. Over the summer, data centers became a hot topic among the litany of issues that impassion Americans. The current face of the controversy is Canadian billionaire and Shark Tank investor Kevin O’Leary, who is behind the Utah-based Project Stratos, a 40,000-acre data center and terrible idea. Project Stratos will be located in Hansel and Locomotive Valley, the remote western corner of Utah. It plans to tap into the Ruby natural gas Pipeline that runs through the area.
