Delivery firm Evri is suing the BBC for libel, seeking about £1.2 million in damages. The lawsuit stems from a 15-minute segment of a Panorama documentary, 'Evri: Where's My Parcel?', broadcast on 15 December last year. Evri alleges the segment wrongly suggested it employs “exploitative business practices” and misled Parliament about underpaying its couriers. The company claims the broadcast caused “serious financial loss”, including the loss of prospective contracts valued at around £1.1 million.
