I've decided that anything Josh Safdie might just be not for me. Everyone I've talked to that has seen this movie is praising Timothée Chalamet's performance -- but I wouldn't know. I was too distracted / consumed by the headache that this movie caused me -- similar to Uncut Gems. Struggling to find the saving grace here. Are we supposed to root for this character? Is needlessly dropping a bathtub on a dog supposed to tug at our emotional heart strings?
