Singer M.I.A., born Mathangi Arulpragasam, filed a complaint against rapper Kid Cudi, born Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division, on May 29, seeking more than $2.8 million in damages after being removed from his Live Nation-produced Rebel Rangers Tour.

Gamma Media Holdings, the music company founded by Larry Jackson, has filed a lawsuit in New York seeking to identify the anonymous person or people it says created websites and social media accounts to spread false claims about the company and its chief executive. The complaint, filed in New York State Supreme Court, accuses unidentified defendants of defamation, trade libel, and unfair competition.
