Introduction The process of aging involves many challenges, more than at any other stage in life. The aging individual is exposed to deaths, separations, and a decline in emotional and cognitive functioning. The COVID-19 crisis enforced the isolation of seniors, putting them at higher risk for depression and emotional distress (Armitage and Nellums, 2020). Since social media is often unfamiliar to the older adults, their treatment options were diminished during quarantine.

Introduction Unruptured intracranial aneurysm (UIA) is a serious cerebrovascular disease; up to 50% of patients who experience UIA rupture may die or suffer long-term disabilities (Towgood et al., 2004). In addition, patients with UIA may have cognitive, psychosocial, and functional impairments (Towgood et al., 2005; Bonares et al., 2016), resulting in diminished quality of life (van der Schaaf et al., 2002; Bonares et al., 2014).

1. Introduction Age-related neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson’s diseases (PD), Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, are still unsolved problems in clinical therapeutics. Their increasing burden on families and healthcare systems pose a great challenge to public health (Henderson et al., 2019; Feigin et al., 2021). A latest study showed that the excess health-care cost arose as early as 10 years before a formal diagnosis of dementia (Persson et al., 2022).
