ABSTRACT The growing field of nutrigenomics explores the interaction between genetic makeup and dietary factors, particularly in the context of cardiovascular health. As cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading cause of mortality globally, there is a need to better understand how individual genetic variations influence dietary responses.

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are key mediators of intercellular communication and may reflect physiological changes during aging. We analyzed plasma-derived EVs from a healthy aging cohort stratified by age, using size exclusion chromatography, surface profiling, nanoparticle tracking, and small RNA sequencing.

The search for bioactive natural compounds, traditionally focused on terrestrial environments, has increasingly expanded to the seas and oceans, opening new frontiers for exploration. Among the diverse organisms inhabiting these ecosystems, marine phanerogams have emerged as a promising source of health-promoting bioactive compounds.
