Overview On 22 April 2026, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) published a joint package of reforms to the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SM&CR) as set out in policy statement PS26/6. The reforms are designed to make the regime more efficient, proportionate, and easier to operate, while preserving its core objective of individual accountability.
