We report findings regarding long-term participant retention and engagement patterns from a large European multinational remote digital study for depression10,28. Our findings show a significantly higher long-term participant retention than in past remote digital health studies19,21,22,23,24. However, we show several factors, that can significantly impact long-term participant retention and the density of data collection in naturalistic settings.
