EGPN Bulk Carrier Orders Two 64,000 DWT Vessels at New Dayang Shipyard for $70 Million

According to the weekly report from shipbroker Xclusiv Shipbrokers, EGPN BULK CARRIER has ordered two 64,000 DWT bulk carriers from New Dayang Shipyard, a subsidiary of Sumec Marine. The construction cost for each vessel is $35 million, with a total value of $70 million for the two vessels. Delivery is expected in 2028 and 2029. According to records, EGPN Bulk Carrier was founded in 2014 through a merger between Eastern Ocean Transportation (Hong Kong) and Great Pacific Navigation.

Brasil: APS lanza licitación para concesión de central hidroeléctrica en Puerto de Santos

The Santos Port Authority (APS) published the tender notice establishing the rules for the concession of the hydroelectric plant at the Port of Santos. The complex also includes a transmission line of approximately 30 km, as well as support areas and servers. The project provides for the modernization of the facility, increasing its installed capacity from the current 15 MW to 18 MW.

Asia May factory output furthers growth on precautionary buying

Input cost pressures continue to grow for Asian manufacturers in May, though government support has helped to ease some inflation burdens as new orders continued to grow on inventory stockpiling. Four of the 11 monitored economies in Asia, including China’s private and public sectors, posted lower May manufacturing purchasing managers’ index (PMI) readings compared with April levels, suggesting uneven manufacturing momentum.
