Police have arrested a man at Gatwick Airport after a woman alleged she was raped in Aylesbury. The victim, a woman in her twenties, was raped by a man she did not know in the churchyard of St Mary’s Church, located near to Kingsbury Square. Last night, a 27-year-old man was detained by Border Force officers at Gatwick Airport before being arrested by officers from Thames Valley Police. The man has been arrested in connection with the incident that happened on October 10 last year.

'Medical emergency' near Denham causes delays on M25

A 'medical emergency' near Denham has caused delays on the M25. The unknown incident has resulted in heavy traffic on the busy stretch of motorway anticlockwise. The emergency was first flagged on traffic monitoring system INRIX. The update reads: 'One lane closed and heavy traffic due to medical emergency on M25 anticlockwise from J16 M40 J1A to J15 M4 J4B.' It is not yet known how long delays are in place for. Buckinghamshire Live has contacted Thames Valley Police for a statement.

Body part of man found on Great Yarmouth beach

A body part was found on a beach in Great Yarmouth with police having made an identification from the remains. Police were called to Wellington Pier at 1.30am on Wednesday morning (May 4) after a fisherman reported finding a body part. The remains were taken to the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston and following a post-mortem examination and DNA tests, police have been able to identify the man. The body part belongs to Colin Wood, 53. Mr Wood’s family have been informed.
