There’s not much more I can ask for when I’m watching a game at AT&T Oracle Park. The ballpark is gorgeous, the stands are full(ish), the food is good. So good, in fact, that I did a whole video series going behind the scenes with Chef Toussaint Potter creating and tasting all the ballpark cuisines 3rd and King has to offer.

No guys, Bryce Harper isn’t a Giant but there certainly are big things happening at Third and King. According to Chronicle’s Henry Schulman, AT&T and the San Francisco Giants have parted ways. The franchise will announce a 20-year deal with Oracle, officially changing the name to “Oracle Park, effective immediately.

Just as I started wondering if Farhan Zaidi was still hungover from a New Year’s celebration, the Giants went ahead and acquired Breyvic Valera, an infield/outfield versatility player — who primarily mans second base — from the Baltimore Orioles. This makes Valera the 39th man on the 40-man roster. The Orioles designated Valera for assignment on Friday and he reunited with familiar face Zaidi, who was the GM at the helm of the Dodgers when he was acquired from the Cardinals last April.
