Fuel is one of your largest and most volatile operating costs. Yet most organizations still rely on disconnected reports and raw idling data to make high‑stakes decisions about fuel spend, coaching, and maintenance. That can mean hours spent combing through noisy reports, and missed opportunities to cut waste before it shows up on your fuel bill. That’s why we launched two major enhancements designed to change that: the Fuel Hub and Idling and Fuel Coaching.

For most drivers, paying for fuel and other on-the-road purchases still depends on having a physical fleet card on hand. When a driver forgets their card, leaves it behind, or needs to key in additional information before the transaction can be completed, a routine purchase becomes a source of friction and delay. Carrying physical cards can also introduce security concerns if lost or stolen. Plus if mobile-based unlock is not enabled, these cards are subject to skimming fraud.

Today, drivers manage compliance, maintenance, and other tasks in the Motive Driver App, but must switch to external apps for route navigation, creating a disconnected experience and unnecessary steps. Additionally, the navigation apps many drivers use were built for passenger vehicles, not trucks, meaning drivers are often sent on routes with low bridges, weight-restricted roads, tight turns, or hazmat-prohibited routes.
