Iris Nights: Hadley and Peter Arnold, Divining Los Angeles, Adaptation by Design It took a photo-op of the Governor on a parched hillside to awaken Californians to the severity of the state’s drought. But as co-founders of the Arid Lands Institute at Woodbury University, Hadley and Peter Arnold have been on the case for years, analyzing the impacts of droughts and offering ideas for a more water-wise future.

Hosted in sweltering heat at UCLA’s Wilson Plaza outside of the Fowler Museum, nearly 400 bakers submitted their pies in 7 categories, including World Pie in honor of the Fowler Museum’s collection.
