What was your first job as a journalist?

I photographed and recorded sports scores for my middle school’s newspaper! My first “real” job was as a Staff Writer at The Peak.

People of any backgrounds can share their knowledge and lived experiences, offering multifaceted stories in real time.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

It means serving community through documenting life, amplifying marginalized voices, and sharing new, valuable, and accessible information.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

When not at the computer, I’m most likely taking my cat for a walk or reading poetry!
