SHARE The Telluride Mushroom Festival, held in the middle of August, had come and gone all too quickly for my liking. At a tiny Colorado airport, I was hiding under a dorky, blue hiking hat, getting misty-eyed as I flipped through my camera roll. I grinned back at faces, young and old, who, like me, had traveled the distance to marvel and celebrate an understudied, vast domain of Mother Nature: fungi.
