Caurie Putnam’s Biography

As a journalist with a master's degree in counseling from the University of Rochester, I approach reporting with a unique style that produces rich and genuine human interest stories. I see what I do as a privilege and treat each story and source as such.

With 24 years in the journalism field, I write/have written for: Reuters, the Democrat and Chronicle (Gannett), USA Today, HuffPost, Messenger Post Newspapers and many more. Most recently you can find my byline in the Rochester Business Journal (BridgeTower).

Additionally, my essays and shorts have been published in books, including four "Chicken Soup for the Soul" titles, national magazines like "Shape,"​ "Fit Pregnancy," "Brain, Child!." and "Woman's World" and regional magazines like "Rochester Woman Magazine," "Rochester," "585" and "Buffalo Spree."
