1 Introduction Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) is a cornerstone in the staging and management of melanoma [1, 2]. The current gold standard for SLNB employs a dual-tracer technique that combines a radioisotope, such as technetium-99m (99mTc), with blue dye [3, 4]. Despite its efficacy, this approach has notable limitations, including radiation exposure, pain of injection, logistical constraints due to the short half-life of 99mTc, and the risk of allergic reactions to blue dye [3, 5].
