GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Guilford County's new budget is now adopted, but people have mixed reactions about it. Commissioners say the county simply couldn't cover everything, especially after losing millions in anticipated revenue. "We cannot solve state funding challenges with local dollars alone. If the state does not fully fund public education, counties across North Carolina are left trying to fill that gap," said Skip Alston, Guilford County Board of Commissioners chair.
