While it wouldn't work quite so well in harsher climes, the design of the Casa Mateo is a good fit for the relative warmth of Mexico's Pacific Coast. The residence promotes a pleasant semi-outdoor lifestyle with an open layout that blurs the boundary between inside and outside. Casa Mateo, by Zozaya Arquitectos, is located in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, and measures 488 sq m (roughly 5,250 sq ft).

San Antonio House
This residential project emerges from the trapezoidal shape of the plot where is located, which defined the construction into three clearly settled volumes adapted to the site’s conditions. One of the project’s feature is the integration of vegetation in the design, both outside and inside. To the exterior, the trees were considered to wrap the building, and generate different shadows and color reflections on the façade at different times of the year, as if it were a blank canvas.
