ABSTRACT This study aimed to investigate the effects of anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (a-tDCS) over the motor (M1) or dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) on whole-body endurance performance in cyclists experiencing mental fatigue (MF). Fourteen recreational cyclists completed a 60-min Stroop task (ST) to induce MF under three different conditions, following a randomised, double-blind, and crossover experimental design: sham, a-tDCS over the DLPFC or M1.
