I have never been to India. I remember when I was a child, my father's coworkers used to bring back sandalwood figurines and sandalwood oil, aromatic tea, and spices from India. Later, my traveling friends brought tea, spices, and incense. They didn't bring sandalwood anymore (the natural sandalwood in India had become bad), but they paid more attention to incense than Dad's coworkers did.
