ABSTRACT The current research presents the formulation of losartan potassium-loaded biomucoadhesive-floating beads using sodium alginate (matrix-former), linseed polysaccharide (biomucoadhesive polymer) and calcium silicate (floatation-improving material). These losartan potassium-loaded beads showed 63.86 ± 0.93 to 95.33 ± 2.14% drug entrapment efficiency, 1.44 ± 0.04 to 1.72 ± 0.08 mm bead-size and 0.65 ± 0.06 to 0.81 ± 0.06 g/cm3 density.
