Delayed localization of A-type lamins to the rupture sites in Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome
Abstract The nuclear lamina (NL) lines the nuclear envelope (NE) to maintain nuclear structure in metazoan cells. The major NL components, the nuclear lamins contribute to the protection against NE rupture induced by mechanical stress. Lamin A (LA) and a short form of the splicing variant lamin C (LC) are diffused from the nucleoplasm to sites of NE rupture in immortalized mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs).
PIBF1 regulates trophoblast syncytialization and promotes cardiovascular development - Nature Communications
Abstract Proper placental development in early pregnancy ensures a positive outcome later on. The developmental relationship between the placenta and embryonic organs, such as the heart, is crucial for a normal pregnancy. However, the mechanism through which the placenta influences the development of embryonic organs remains unclear. Trophoblasts fuse to form multinucleated syncytiotrophoblasts (SynT), which primarily make up the placental materno-fetal interface.
Comprehensive analysis of A-type lamin tail region for repairing the nuclear lamina
Abstract The nuclear lamina (NL) lines the inner nuclear membrane (INM) of the nuclear envelope (NE) to maintain nuclear structure in metazoan cells. The major NL components, the nuclear lamins contribute to the protection against NE rupture induced by mechanical stress. Lamin C (LC) but not lamin A (LA) is rapidly diffused from the nucleoplasm to sites of NE rupture induced by laser microirradiation in immortalized mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs).
Influence of Chemical and Genetic Manipulations on Cellular Organelles Quantified by Label-Free Optical Diffraction Tomography
Label-free optical diffraction tomography provides three-dimensional imaging of cells and organelles, along with their refractive index (RI) and volume. These physical parameters are valuable for quantitative and accurate analysis of the subcellular microenvironment and its connections to intracellular biological properties.
