Cervical cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer mortality among women and remains a major challenge for public health. In 2020, an estimated 604,000 women were diagnosed with cervical cancer worldwide, and approximately 342,000 women died from the disease (Sung et al., 2021). Screening for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is one of the most important preventative measures because almost all cervical cancers are attributable to HPV infection (Mao et al., 2023).

Thalassemia, also known as Mediterranean anemia, is a widely prevalent monogenic autosomal recessive blood disorder worldwide (Chen et al., 2021; Goonasekera et al., 2018). It can be categorized into two types: α-thalassemia and β-thalassemia. α-Thalassemia is caused by the deletion or single nucleotide variations (SNVs) in the α-globin gene, leading to reduced or absent synthesis of α-globin chains (Ning et al., 2023).
A Novel CRISPR/Cas12a-Mediated Ratiometric Dual-Signal Electrochemical Biosensor for Ultrasensitive and Reliable Detection of Circulating Tumor Deoxyribonucleic Acid
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) holds great promise as a noninvasive biomarker for cancer diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. However, the accurate and specific quantification of low-abundance ctDNA in serum remains a significant challenge. This study introduced, for the first time, a novel exponential amplification reaction (EXPAR)-assisted CRISPR/Cas12a-mediated ratiometric dual-signal electrochemical biosensor for ultrasensitive and reliable detection of ctDNA.

Label-free fluorescence sensor for rapid and sensitive detection of ctDNA based on fluorescent PDA nanoparticles Technological advances in the detection of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) have made new options available for diagnosis, classification, biological knowledge, and treatment selection. However, effective and practical methods for analyzing this emerging class of biomarkers are still lacking.
One metal-ion-regulated AgTNPs etching sensor array for visual discrimination of multiple organic acids
Abstract The detection and discrimination of organic acids (OAs) is of great importance in the early diagnosis of specific diseases. In this study, we established an effective visual sensor array for the identification of OA. This is the first time, to our best knowledge, that metal ions were used to regulate the etching of silver triangular nanoprisms (AgTNPs) in an OA discrimination sensor array.

A laser induced fluorescent detector for pesticide residues detection based on spectral recognition method
In the present work, a laser induced fluorescent (LIF) detector was developed for pesticide residues detection based on a microfluidic-based fluorescent sensor array (MFSA). A spectral recognition method (SRM) was proposed for serving unsupervised pattern recognition, which were utilized to analyze the experimental data. Four pesticide residues (i.e. carbendazim, diazine, fenvalerate and pentachloronitrobenzene) were used to evaluate the differentiating capacity of the device.
A Minimalist Chinese Liquor Identification System Based on Colorimetric Sensor Array with Multiple Applications
The components of Chinese liquor are influenced by geographical origins and raw materials. Present Chinese liquor identification systems are limited and have a single application that can distinguish only one nature of flavor types or production areas. Four chemical reagents are successfully used to build this 3×1 simple colorimetric sensor array. This is the first time a highly accurate colorimetric Chinese liquor sensor array made up by so few array points.
Colorimetric sensing of Chromium(Ⅵ) ions in aqueous solution based on the leaching of protein-stabled gold nanoparticles
Herein, we have developed a simple, sensitive and non-aggregation-based method for the selective colorimetric detection of Chromium (Ⅵ) ions (Cr (VI)) in aqueous solution. In the presence of hydrobromic acid (HBr), the bovine serum albumin stabled gold nanoparticles (BSA-Au NPs) were gradually dissolved by Cr (VI) as the etching process of gold. The leaching of BSA-Au NPs results in rapid and remarkable damping of the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and hence induces a visible color change.
