Evaluation of Oxford Nanopore’s MinION Sequencing Device for Microbial Whole Genome Sequencing Applications

15 Runs were carried out over a nine month period from 2016–2017. The experiments tested 2D, 2D sequencing with barcoding, 1D sequencing with barcoding and 1D rapid kits, and applied the most up-to-date software version at the time of data generation for analysis (Supplementary Table 1). All R9.4 and R9.4 spotON flowcells were received with porecounts exceeding the guaranteed level (800 pores). Porecounts at the time of use were measured, with results depicted in Supplementary Table 2.
