Disturbance characteristics and forest properties regulate surface warming and recovery across Europe
Abstract Disturbances that disrupt the structure, composition or functioning of forest ecosystems are increasing in frequency and severity across Europe due to climate change and land-use pressures. Yet their effects on local surface climate remain poorly quantified. Here we combine Landsat-derived summer land-surface temperature estimates with a Europe-wide disturbance record to assess how disturbance attributes and forest properties shape post-disturbance warming and thermal recovery.

Abstract The intricate relationship between high temperature superconductivity and antiferromagnetic order in cuprates, and the fundamental origin of electron pairing remain open questions. By utilizing high-resolution laser-based spatially-resolved angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we investigate the seven-layer Bi2Sr2Ca6Cu7O18+δ (Bi2267) and identify a cuprate system that consists of multiple hole Fermi pockets.

Reframing diet assessment for geroscience: development and preliminary validation of an anti-aging dietary score
Abstract Conventional dietary indices often fail to align with aging biology. To bridge this mechanistic gap, we propose the Nutrient–Signaling–Senescence (NSS) axis as an integrative framework. Based on this foundation, we develop the anti-aging dietary score (AADS). Preliminary validation using NHANES data demonstrates that a higher AADS is significantly associated with lower PhenoAge acceleration, performing comparably to established indices.
