This past May I was blessed to be able to celebrate my 50th birthday. I don’t qualify for the “55 and older” perks quite yet, but finishing my 50th trip around the sun fills me with a full measure of gratitude for the grace of God that has given me strength for a journey of so many years.
State Environmental Enforcement Policies During COVID-19 And Response To EPA “Discretion” Policy | JD Supra

Though some incorrectly interpreted this announcement as a “get-out-of-jail-free” card to permit holders, the EPA’s temporary COVID-19 pandemic policy applies only to a narrow set of circumstances, and even in those cases, the policy offers no guarantee that harsh penalties will be withheld.

'I broke so many tractors, they made me work with the cows'
TULARE, Calif. — Travel north on U.S. Highway 99, leaving behind the vast swell of Los Angeles, and suddenly the cracked desert landscape bursts into a revelation of fruit trees and melon fields, of white clustering farms and endless rows of plantings. Plums, grapes, walnuts, cotton and livestock of every description — everything seems to flourish in the cultivated cornucopia that is California’s Central Valley, everything seems to grow.
What to Expect in Environmental Regulation for 2019 | JD Supra
Deregulation was one of the primary promises of President Trump’s campaign, and in 2018, the administration continued to roll back environmental regulation. The recent shutdown of the federal government has slowed deregulation, while at the same time affecting funding and implementation of programs.
The darker side of Rep. Adam Schiff
So there is nothing in the world that prepares you for the dark side of Schiff. But it’s there. Just ask Stephen Colbert.
The Ghost and Mr. Mumler
Immersed in death and sorrow, 1860s America was fertile ground for a man who claimed the power to photograph spirits. A woman of dark mystery appeared at William Mumler’s Boston studio in 1871 to have her photograph taken. Attired in mourning, she gave the well- known photographer a false name and kept her faced concealed behind a black veil. “I requested her to be seated, went into my darkroom and coated a plate,” Mumler said four years later in his autobiography.

What to Expect in Environmental Regulation for 2018
Deregulation was one of the primary promises of President Trump’s campaign, and the administration has been keeping that promise, particularly as it relates to environmental regulations. Rule rollbacks are on a fast track while the implementation of other rules has been stayed. In some cases, such as the reinstatement of pre-2015 rules relating to wetland jurisdiction under the Clean Water Act, no public comment opportunity was provided.
