It’s a gorgeous piece of storytelling - nuanced in the way it’s done too. Death is the ultimate ‘enemy’, but is it villainous or just a force of nature? And also just a really great take down of patriarchal, archaic views against women historically & demeaning magicks/witchcraft. ★★★★★ Impossible to watch this movie without a beaming smile.

In 1981, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas introduced the world to Indiana Jones in ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark‘. This new hero was an archaeologist with a love of history, a cynical view of the occult and a knack for punching Nazis.
