#1 I got an email from Bank of Ireland (BOI) recently about two new services: 1. SEPA Instant payments 2. Verification of Payee (VOP). These have both gone live now it seems. In my BOI 365 I have set up payees and can send money to them by SEPA. I now have a problem which I think is because the NAME of the Payee in my BOI 365 is not exactly the same as the NAME of that payee on THEIR bank account.

#1 @Corola Thanks for your ETF deemed disposal spreadsheets in this thread. Your examples also handled cases where exit tax needed to be paid because the "entire" ETF fund was sold at year 10 or 20. It has been suggested on AAM that investments in equities, held outside a pension, could function as a rainy day fund.

#1 Owning US stocks can expose you to US estate tax liability. What's the most tax efficient way of investing in Berkshire? This was posted in another thread by @ClubMan. "presume that such companies also trade in the form of instruments (ADR/ADSs or something similar?) that are not held in the US so that the US Estate Tax issue becomes moot?" Where can you buy these? Berkshire Hathaway can be bought in euro or dollars. But neither way would shield you from us estate taxes would they?
