1994: Freaknik dead? Not if firm has say-so

Originally published Oct. 12, 1994 Mayor Bill Campbell plans to get the word out at predominantly black colleges across the United States that Freaknik is no longer welcome in Atlanta. But at least one would-be festival promoter is trying to make sure Freaknik lives - and that he gets a piece of the action. The Atlanta Student Forum, which promoted Freaknik this year, has evaporated.
