KHSD resumes meal distribution for students

BY Charmaine Little The U.S. Department of Agriculture has continued Kern High School District’s waiver from this spring, allowing the school to provide students with free meals in the new school year, according to a press release issued Sept. 2. The meal distribution began Friday, Sept. 4. Moving forward, food will be distributed at all 18 comprehensive high schools and Nueva Community High School weekdays between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. for children 2-18 years old.
