4. Materials and Methods 4.1. Bacterial Strains and Culture Conditions L. chiayiensis AACE3 (Genbank No. CP107523.1) was isolated from fermented blueberry sap. It is now stored in the Faculty of Life Science and Technology, Kunming University of Science and Technology, Kunming City, China. For the individual colonies used for routine use, the strain was grown and passaged in lactic acid bacteria selective medium (MRS) broth at 37 °C for 24 h.
