A Low‐Temperature Solar Salt Approach to Fabricate Crystalline Polymeric Carbon Nitride for H2O2 Efficient Photosynthesis
1 Introduction Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is one of the cornerstone compounds used in the contemporary chemical engineering industry because of the pivotal role it plays across a variety of energy and environmental applications.[1, 2] The industrial production of H2O2 primarily relies on the traditional anthraquinone process, which is typically regarded as the significant energy consumption and the generation of various chemical wastes, also resulting in considerable environmental...
Synthesis of hafnium carbide (HfC) via one‐step selective laser reaction pyrolysis from liquid polymer precursor
1 INTRODUCTION Ultrahigh-temperature ceramics (UHTCs) are a class of materials designed to withstand extreme environments, making them indispensable in aerospace, defense, and energy applications.1-5 These materials are particularly utilized in the leading edges of hypersonic vehicles, spacecraft re-entry vehicles, and rocket engines, owing to their exceptional thermal stability, high melting points (>3000°C), high strength, and resistance to oxidation and thermal shock.2-8 Among the key UHTC...
Effect of Hollow 304 Stainless Steel Fiber on Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Properties of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC)
Abstract : This study investigated the effect of hollow 304 stainless-steel fiber on the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC), and prepared copper-coated-fiber-reinforced UHPC as the control group. The electrochemical performance of the prepared UHPC was compared with the results of X-ray computed tomography (X-CT). The results reveal that cavitation can improve the distribution of steel fibers in the UHPC.
