Abstract RNAs can associate with the surface of diverse cell types, yet the functions of specific RNA species on primary immune cells remain unclear. Here, utilizing methods developed to profile, image and quantify surface RNAs in rare primary cell populations, we found that Y RNAs, a family of small noncoding RNAs, preferentially localize to human monocyte surface.
Abstract Acute hemorrhagic rectal ulcer syndrome (AHRUS) is a critical emergency frequently comorbid with cerebrovascular accident (CVA), though their pathogenic relationship remains unclear. We analyzed clinical data and conducted a meta-analysis, finding a 75% CVA co-occurrence rate among AHRUS patients. Using a middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) mouse model, we observed that CVA was associated with severe rectal mucosal injury.
