The association between steatotic liver disease and chronic kidney disease: a meta-analysis and Mendelian randomization study highlighting metabolic comorbidities | Nutrition & Diabetes
Abstract Steatotic liver disease (SLD)—a term encompassing nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD), and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD)—and chronic kidney disease (CKD) are major global health concerns. Metabolic factors, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia, are integral to the definitions of MAFLD and MASLD and may confound their association with CKD.

A note on the bilateral binomial theorem
It is well known that Newton's generalized binomial theorem is very important. However, few people know that there also exists a bilateral binomial theorem which was found by Horn (2003) and used to prove two entries recorded in Ramanujan's lost book by Berndt and Chu (2007). By means of the residue theorem, we provide a new and elementary proof to the bilateral binomial theorem.
