1. Introduction Deep neck infection (DNI) is a fatal bacterial infectious disease that affects the deep cervical spaces [1,2]. It can give rise to airway compromise, making it critical to secure patients’ airways [3]. DNI can cause other complications, depending on the severity of the infection and the direction of invasion. Descending mediastinitis, one of complications of DNI, is a fatal infection of the mediastinum.
