Selective Growth Tailors Atomic Arrangements of High-Entropy Alloy and Intermetallic Nanocrystals for Enhanced Catalytic Performance Click to copy article link Article link copied!
Density Functional Theory (DFT) Analysis of Facet-Selective Adsorption of Capping Agents on High-Entropy Surfaces To elucidate the molecular-level mechanism underlying the observed shape evolution, we first conducted DFT calculations to examine the facet-selective adsorption of CO on the {100} and {111} surfaces of both PtCo seeds and PtCo@PtCoNiRuRh core–shell nanocrystals. The {100} and {111} surface models for both PtCo and PtCo@PtCoNiRuRh were constructed, as illustrated in Figure S1 .
