Influence of Age and Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Vestibular Neuritis: Retrospective Cohort Study
4. Discussion In our study, we postulate that the evolution of VN patients could or could not be influenced by age and/or CVRFs. Our results suggest that ¨age¨, as an independent factor, and the interaction of ¨age, sex, and hypertension¨ had a significant effect on the mean VOR gain at the one-year follow-up in patients with VN. However, in our sample, CVRFs do not appear to influence the evolution of the VOR in patients with VN.
Factors Impacting the Use or Rejection of Hearing Aids-A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Limitations of the Study Including people over 18 years old may introduce significant heterogeneity in the prevalence estimates due to the wide age range and potential differences in factors related to hearing aid use. While the original intention was to focus solely on the elderly population, the decision to include individuals over 18 years old was made due to the larger number of articles available for analysis [45].
