Chinyere Ibeh’s Biography
Chinyere Ibeh (pronounced shar-near-ruh ee-bay) grew to know and love journalism in the senior year of high school during a digital media class.
College Life
She carried that sudden love into college as she received a Bachelor's degree in journalism at DePaul University. Chinyere continued into her Master’s Program for her M.A. in Digital Communication and Media Arts. She participates in various media organizations throughout her college career. She has been a part of the news team at Radio DePaul since her freshman year and she became a writer for the DePaulia later into her freshman year, leading into her sophomore year. She became a contributing writer for Her Campus DePaul during her sophomore year also. Towards the end of her sophomore year, she became a part of Zeta Phi Eta, a communications fraternity. She also became a part of the executive board as the VP of Marketing. She's also a part of the executive board for a couple of other organizations - one of many social media directors for Her Campus DePaul and a social media manager for DePaul's Womxn frisbee team. She also became the social media editor for 14 East Magazine during her first year into her master’s program.
Extracurricular Activities
Chinyere enjoys her free time with tennis, ultimate frisbee, reading, writing, and binge-watching her favorite shows. She has been playing tennis ever since she was seven years old and she only recently picked up ultimate frisbee.
