1 Introduction Substantial efforts have been made to measure the morphology of the structural aging of organs, such as the brain, which helps distinguish between atrophy caused by normal aging and atrophy caused by disease (Statsenko et al. 2023). Defining an organ's normative morphological aging allows investigation into how disease alters this trajectory, offering insight into the disease process. As with the brain, the pancreas also undergoes changes with age (Löhr et al. 2018) (Figure 1).
