Abstract : Longan, a popular fruit in Asia, has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat several diseases for centuries. Recent studies have indicated that longan byproducts are rich in polyphenols. The aim of this study was to analyze the phenolic composition of longan byproduct polyphenol extracts (LPPE), evaluate their antioxidant activity in vitro, and investigate their regulating effect on lipid metabolism in vivo.
