The owner of Cool & Eclectic on the first level of MacArthur Center, he’s lamenting the inevitable — the downtown mall’s impending closure this coming weekend. “It’s just kind of sad because it’s such a beautiful 27-year-old mall,” Estes said in a Monday interview. Malls began closing years ago as shoppers with evolving tastes wanted a different vibe. Cool & Eclectic supplies its own vibe with a heaping helping of nostalgia.
