Back Sports Page
Welcome to our newest article series on Back Sports Page, “HollyWood’s NCAA Top 25.” Previously done by Chris Page, this series details the top 25 teams in the NCAA every week as ranked by me with other BSP members. With 0 week now behind us it’s time to turn everyone’s sights towards week 1. We don’t know much about many of these teams, many have question marks all over them. However on paper, here is where they all stack up: HollyWood’s NCAA Top 25 – Week 1 1. Georgia 2. Oregon 3. Ohio State 4.
CP's 2025 Defensive Big Nastys
The 2025 Mississippi defensive line class is loaded with crazy talent. Here are five kids in this class that have caught my eye. Andrew Maddox MS #2 DL #1 HEIGHT 6'5" WEIGHT 280 POS DL CLASS 2025 View Player Boost Profile Download Image State: Mississippi School: Oak Grove Maddox is Prep Redzone’s number-one rated DL in the class of 2025, and for good reason. He is the ultimate game-changer every offense must account for on Friday nights.
Natchez Summer Preview
Ashton Minor HEIGHT 6'1" WEIGHT 160 POS WR CLASS 2025 View Player Boost Profile Download Image State: Mississippi School: Natchez Minor is 6’1″ tall and 160 lbs. He is a very athletic kid, and his ability explodes off the screen while watching his film. He attacks the ball at its highest point, making it difficult for the defender to make a play on it. He runs clean, crisp routes that help get him wide-open running down the field. Minor will play a vital role in Natchez’s 2024 season.
Jefferson County Summer Preview
Royale Shelvy MS #145 WR #18 HEIGHT 6'1" WEIGHT 180 POS WR CLASS 2025 View Player Boost Profile Download Image State: Mississippi School: Jefferson County Shelvy is 6’1″ tall and 180 lbs. He is a dynamic wide receiver who can also play quarterback at times. He sees the field like an athlete on the next level. He is quick and shifty in the open field, which makes him difficult to tackle. I expect Shelvy to become a household name this coming fall.

CP’s Weekly Top 25- Week 10
It is November, and we are entering the final month of the regular season for the 2023 College Football season. The College Football Playoff committee released their first rankings this past Tuesday night, and there were no real surprises. The biggest argument from me would be ranking Ohio State #1 over Georgia. I’m of the opinion Georgia should be #1 until they are beaten, but nonetheless. Week 10 will be a fun one to watch, especially in the Big XII and SEC.

CP’s Weekly Top 25- Week 8
We are officially past the halfway point of the 2023 college football season. As I write this, I feel I am in repeat mode, but Georgia and Michigan keep winning. They continue to do what good teams do. Simply put, they are the standard of College Football right now. Flor da State continues to distance itself from the rest of the ACC, and the Pac-12 is beginning to shake itself out. Speaking of the Pac-12, Colorado blew a 29-point lead to a below-average Stanford team at halftime.
CP’s Weekly Top 25- Week 7
Week six made sure to not dissappoint college football fans around the country. The Big 12 had a seismic shift that not many saw coming. Oklahoma pulled what many would think is an upset over Texas and the SEC West now runs solely through Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The state of Texas woke up in mourning Sunday morning. Is Louisville the team to beat in the ACC? Don’t look now folks but we are almost to the halfway point of the season.

CP's Weekly Top 25- Week 6
Week 5 was, without a doubt, the most exciting week we have seen so far this season. Everyone could watch and enjoy three CP Top 25 matchups this past weekend. They started Friday night with Oregon State playing out of their minds when Utah came to town for some Friday night PAC 12 football and continued until late Saturday night with LSU and Ole Miss playing an instant Classic in Oxford. Oregon State put the PAC 12 back on notice Friday night.
CP's Weekly Top 25- Week 5
As we roll into week 5 of this college football season, things are finally starting to shake out a little. After Saturday’s performance in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, put everyone in the SEC on notice that the castle is, in fact, not crumbling. The Tide still have a lot of fight left in them and plan on representing the western division in the SEC title game in early December. Georgia keeps doing what the number 1 team nation does; they keep winning. It may not always be pretty, but a win is a win.

Week three was full of unexpected drama and, quite frankly, just a weird day of football. Is the PAC 12 the best conference in football this year? It might just be from top to bottom. Washington traveled to East Lansing to take on Michigan State and made chopped liver of the Spartans. Coach Prime had his hands full in Boulder Saturday night. Colorado State pushed the Buffaloes to the limit. Oregon and Oregon State continue to win.
Back Sports Page
What did we learn in week 2 of this young college football season? Is the SEC down? Alabama lost to Texas, and Tennessee struggled late into the 3rd quarter with Austin Peay! Ole Miss got the win in New Orleans over Tulane in one of only two Top 25 matchups in week two. Will the PAC 12 be a player when it is all said and done in 2023? Currently, the PAC 12 has seven teams in CP’s Week Three Top 25. 2023 is shaping up to be an exciting year.
CP's Weekly Top 25- Week 2
Week One has come and gone, and it did not disappoint!! The ACC took care of business in their conference head-to-head matchups with the SEC. North Carolina showed South Carolina who the REAL Carolina is. Drake Maye looked the part of the number one overall NFL draft pick next April. Maye threw for two touchdowns with two interceptions for 269 yards. South Carolina had no answer for him. Speaking of not having an answer for someone, what happened to LSU?

CP’s Weekly Top 25 Pre-Season Edition
It’s almost back! It’s time we look at CP’s pre-season College Football Top 25. We are a couple of weeks from College Football season kicking off in week zero. 2023 will certainly be the last year of College Football as we currently know it. What happens to the remaining four schools in the Pac-12?
