Emergency crews battle car fire in Northfield

NORTHFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Emergency crews responded to this serious crash on Gulf Road in Northfield. A viewer sent us this image around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon - showing a car seemingly engulfed in flames along the tree line. Massachusetts State Police said that Gulf Road is closed while they respond to the scene. We’ve reached out to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office for more details and are waiting to hear back.
