Burlington County Published: Jul. 21, 2026, 10:49 p.m. A man who barricaded himself inside an RV late Monday night in the parking lot of a Burlington County Walmart may have been in possession of a flamethrower and other weapons, investigators said. Officers from the Lumberton Township Police Department responded to the Route 28 store shortly after 11 p.m. after they received a report of a dispute between two people that escalated into a robbery, according to a statement from the department.

Longchamp USA, Inc., a Mercer County manufacturer and distributor of fashion and leather products, will pay nearly $2 million to resolve allegations it improperly obtained a pandemic-era loan by misrepresenting its employee count, U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer announced. The settlement stems from allegations that the company violated the False Claims Act by securing a Paycheck Protection Program loan to which it was not entitled. In May 2021, Longchamp applied for and received a $1,379,972 PPP loan.
